Winnipeg, MB (Sports Network) - The Winnipeg Jets placed goaltender Al Montoya on injured reserve Monday with a lower-body injury.
The move is retroactive to March 13.
The 28-year-old netminder is 3-0-0 with a 2.33 goals-against average and one shutout in five appearances this season.
In addition, the club agreed to terms on a new contract with defenseman Arturs Kulda.
Kulda, 24, went scoreless in nine games for the Jets last season. He has totaled one assist in seven games for Novosibirsk of Russia's Kontinental Hockey League this year.
