Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart is doubtful for the Sunday's game with the Kansas City Chiefs because of an ankle injury.

Stewart left in the third quarter of Monday's win over the Philadelphia Eagles with the injury and did not return to the game. The five-year pro did not participate in practice this week.

Over nine games this season, Stewart has carried the ball 93 times for 336 yards and a touchdown.

Defensive end Antwan Applewhite (hamstring) is considered doubtful after missing practice both Thursday and Friday and cornerback Captain Munnerlyn (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's contest despite sitting out of practice all week.

Quarterback Cam Newton, who is dealing with a right wrist injury, was a full participant in practice all week and is listed as probable for Sunday.
