Baltimore Orioles pitcher Randy Wolf will
undergo Tommy John surgery on his left elbow and miss the entire 2013 season,
according to a report by the Baltimore Sun
Wolf, who appeared in five games for the Orioles in 2012, signed with the club
at the end of August after being released by the Milwaukee Brewers.
After feeling discomfort in his pitching elbow following a start in Boston on
Sept. 22, he was diagnosed with a ligament tear and was shelved for the
remainder of the season.
The 36-year-old is expected to have surgery on Oct. 30, forcing him to miss
all of the 2013 season.
Over his 14-year career, Wolf has collected a 132-117 record with a 4.20 ERA.
