Recap: Ball State vs. Buffalo
Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - Will Regan scored a game-high 36 points as the Buffalo Bulls defeated the Ball State Cardinals, 76-61, in second-round Mid-American Conference Tournament at Quicken Loans Arena.
Javon McCrea recorded a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Bulls (14-19). Raph Thomas-Edwards chipped in eight points off the bench.Buffalo will go on to face the Kent State Golden Flashes in a quarterfinal matchup
For the Cardinals (15-15), Jauwan Scaife put up a team-high 28 points. Chris Bond added 10 points, nine boards, and four assists. Majok Majok contributed 10 points and eight rebounds.
In the first half, Buffalo was held to a mere 8-of-28 field goals. Ball state shot 14-of-32 from the floor including 5-of-11 beyond the arc, en route to the 36-30 advantage at the break.
In the second half, Ball State was held to a only 6-of-24 from the field. Buffalo went off, knocking down 16-of-25 from the floor including 7-of-11 3- pointers, as it took the 15-point victory.
Buffalo forced 17 turnovers and dominated points off turnovers, 26-10.
