Recap: Miami-Ohio vs. Ohio

Oxford, OH (Sports Network) - D.J. Cooper scored 14 points to lead the Ohio University Bobcats to a 63-54 verdict over the Miami-Ohio RedHawks in a MAC affair at Millett Hall.

Jon Smith added 13 points and collected seven rebounds in the win for Ohio (24-7, 11-5 MAC), which also got 10 points from Nick Kellogg.

Brian Sullivan tallied 11 points off the bench to pace Miami-Ohio (9-20, 5-11), while Adam Thomas logged 10 points.

The Bobcats shot at a solid 52.2-percent clip over the opening 20 minutes to earn a 28-24 halftime edge.

In the second half, the RedHawks stifled the Bobcats to just 37.9 percent from the field, but then made good on only 39.3 percent of their own attempts. A 12-of-14 effort at the foul line by OU made the difference and earned the squad a nine-point win in its regular-season finale.

The RedHawks were guilty of 17 giveaways for the game and lost the battle of the boards by a 34-26 margin.
