Recap: Hofstra vs. UNC-Wilmington
Hempstead, NY (Sports Network) - Mike Moore led all scorers with 30 points as the Hofstra Pride made easy work of the UNC-Wilmington Seahawks 93-64 in Colonial Athletic Association play at Mack Sports Complex in the regular season finales for both teams.
Nathaniel Lester scored 20 points for Hofstra (10-21, 3-15 CAA), which has won two of three. Stephen Nwaukoni tallied 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Pride while Stevie Mejia and Shemiye McLendon netted 10 points a piece.
For UNCW (9-20, 5-13), Keith Rendleman recorded 16 points and nine rebounds. Tanner Milson chipped in 11 points for the Seahawks, who have lost six straight.
Hofstra got out to a commanding 45-25 lead after the first half behind 53.8 percent field goal shooting, which included six three-pointers.
The Pride kept their frantic pace after the break, draining 16-of-27 from the floor to cruise to victory.
UNCW shot just 37.9 percent from the floor for the game.
