Recap: Rhode Island vs. Saint Josephs

Kingston, RI (Sports Network) - Carl Jones scored 28 points to lead Saint Joseph's to an 80-69 comeback win over Rhode Island at the Ryan Center.

C.J. Aiken ended with 18 points and Langston Galloway 16 for the Hawks (17-10, 7-5 A-10), who won for the fourth time in five contests. Jones finished 9- of-13 from the floor and made all seven of his free throw attempts. He also had six assists.

Orion Outerbridge scored 19 for the Rams (5-22, 2-10), who lost their fourth straight. Nikola Malesevic had 12 points and Jonathan Holton 11 with nine rebounds.

After falling behind 38-36 at the half, the Hawks made 14-of-23 shots in the final 20 minutes. Conversely, the Rams were 12-of-35 in the same span.

Saint Joseph's scored 14 in a row to grab a 57-43 lead as Galloway's three capped the big run.

Malesevic went 1-of-2 from the charity stripe to trim the margin to 62-60 with 4:34 left, but the Hawks netted the next 12 points to seal the outcome.

Saint Joseph's, which made all 14 of its foul shots, snapped a four-game skid against the Rams.
