Palermo Crash Knocks out Power

A driver who swerved to miss an animal knocked out power to about 600 people near Palermo.
The accident happened around 9:20 a.m. Friday on Upper Palermo Road near Pinecrest Road.
The driver told officers that they swerved to miss an animal and lost control, hitting a power pole.
The pole then fell across the road, blocking traffic and knocking out power .
Nearby Resident Daniel Martinez, Jr. said,"I heard a noise like a power surge and I came outside to see what was going on and everything when I saw an overturned car."
The driver was taken to the hospital with minor neck injuries. ###
