Things are looking a little brighter in Orland.
Just before seven Tuesday, the city re-lit the arch that sits over Old Highway 99 on the North part of town.
The landmark was built in 1926 on what is now Sixth Street as a way to welcome people to town.
During the mid-70s vandals shot out the lights on the arch and it has been dark ever since.
Over the last seven years there has been a renewed effort to raise the money necessary to repair the lights and restore the arch to its original glory.
