Paradise Police say a five year old girl was struck and killed by a car on Seneca Lane Tuesday Morning.
Lt. Steve Rowe told Action News that Gracie Carmack was playing in front of the home when another child playing inside the vehicle inadvertently moved the gearshift out of park, and the car rolled down the driveway ... striking the girl.
Emergency responders performed CPR but the child was pronounced dead at the scene.
The older model Toyota sedan was owned by a visitor to the home.
Lt. Rowe says there is every indication this was a tragic accident, and that the members of the Paradise Police Department send their heartfelt condolences to the family.
Meanwhile, the investigation is continuing.###
