Boston Brown Bread

Ingredients
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. shortening
3/4 c. sour cream
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 Tbsp. dark molasses
2 Tbsp. white flour
1 c. raisins (optional)
1 1/2-2 c. graham flour

Directions
Mix ingredients in order listed. Don't add graham flour all at once or bread will be crumbly when sliced. The dough should be a little thicker than cake batter.

Bake in a greased loaf pan at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes. Turn on wire rack before slicing.

Makes 1 loaf.
