She goes by the name of Mama Rose. The 53 year old has four grown children. She says she was homeless when they were little, and she had a difficult time feeding them. Mama Rose now has a home, and wants to help people who are down-on-their-luck. She spends at least three days a week digging through dumpsters, gathering bottles, cans, and jugs. Mama Rose says she makes between $80 to $200 per week. And she can cook huge dinners on Sunday, including a meat, a starch, and a vegetable. Mama Rose says she never has to turn anyone away, because she knows how to stretch a dollar. She likes to open her home to people, then let them stay and digest their food while the kids play.
