NBC NEWS - Wake up and smell the coffee. The world is still around as we know it, including all of the bills we still have to pay.
If you haven't heard, today was supposed to be the end of the world and around the world people gathered at various locations to wait it out.
In Taiwan crowds gathered at a doomsday clock in the shape of a Mayan temple waiting for the end to come.
Crowds cheered the outcome as the final seconds ticked away and nothing happened.
Things were a little more serious in India.
Doomsday believers flocked to a sacred village and prayed through the night.
The believers picked the city because it is believed to be indestructible even during a possible apocalypse situation.
Other believers flocked to a mysterious mountain in france.
Doomsdayers have been camped out near the mountain for days now, they believe that when the end of the world comes a u-f-o will emerge from the mountain to rescue them.
The situation there got so serious the town's mayor ordered police to seal off the mountain for people's personal safety.
There were also crowds in an ancient greek town in turkey ... according to legend the city is one of the few places on earth that can't be touched during the end of the world.
Unlike in France and India ... most of the people gathered in this town came for special end of the world parties.
