Shocking news from the aftermath of last nights storm.
A gas station's canopy in Chico fell off to the side of its post.
It happened at the Valero gas station off of highway 32.
If the canopy detached completely from the post it may have hit a propane tank near it.
Fire fighters got the call early this morning and when they arrived were stunned at what had happened.
Chico fire says that the structure doesn't pose any threat from the way it is pivoted.
