We have more information now on two Tehama County Sheriff's Deputies who were attacked on a call.
The deputies were responding to a disturbance call involving two people, at a home on Hatfield Road at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.
They discovered a third person ... 24-year-old Jose Hernandez ...hiding in the closet.
Officials say he attacked the two deputies, biting one in the face and hitting the other one.
He also reportedly tried to steal one of their weapons, but was unsuccessful.
The deputies were able to take Hernandez into custody.
He allegedly possessed a small amount of methamphetamine, and it turns out was recently released from prison under AB 109.
Both deputies were treated at St. Elizabeth hospital and released.
Two others at the home were arrested for delaying the deputies in performing their duties. ####
