Tehama County Search and Rescue along with the dive team are searching a community pond for two bodies after receiving a report of a son and father drowning. The Tehama County Sheriff's office received the call around three in the afternoon on Saturday. A five-year-old boy, 27-year-old father, and a young girl were on board a boat in the middle of the pond. The pond runs off Hooker Creek north of Red Bluff and south near Cottonwood. The boy fell over board and the dad went in after him. A family member from shore saw the incident and tried to swim out to them but they were too far out. The young girl remained on the boat until someone could bring her safely to shore. If the bodies are not found Sunday tonight. Shasta County dive team will be called in for assistance tomorrow.
