Chico Police responded to a possible stabbing around 9:30pm Friday night. When they arrived, they found two men with stab wounds. One victim had a collapsed lung, the other suffered only minor cuts, according to authorities. They quickly cordoned off East Lassen from Delaware to Eaton Roads. For about two hours, they telephoned the residence and used a bullhorn to try to talk to the suspect in the home. They finally determined he was not inside. Many nearby residents were not allowed to return to their homes, and were upset.
Police now say they are looking for John Lehman. They are asking anyone who knows where he is to give them a call. The two victims were rushed to the hospital. Police say there is no danger to the public.
