St. Patrick's Day in Chico was busy, but police aren't reporting any major problems.
There was plenty of partying going on at drinking establishments throughout the Downtown and South Campus areas starting early in the day, but the huge mob-like crowds of past years didn't materialize.
That doesn't mean there weren't a lot of arrests.
Chico police arrested a total of 61 people over the weekend ... 17 on Friday, 18 on Saturday and 13 Sunday.
27 of those were for being drunk in public.
Of those arrested, seven were Chico State students, and four were Butte College students.
The scariest incident was a brawl outside La Salle's on Broadway at about 11:00 Sunday night.
Nearly 100 people were involved, four were arrested.
No one was seriously injured.##
