Winter weather returned to the North State Thursday, with rain at the and snow in the foothill and mountain areas.
It started coming down in the early morning hours, and an inch or more of snow is expected.

There's also snow in Magalia, down to about the 28 hundred foot level.
Thunderstorms could occur in the afternoon and evening.##
