PG&E crews continue to scramble throughout the north state to restore power lost in the aftermath of Sunday's early morning storm.

Today’s storm is the third and strongest of a series of storms to impact Northern and Central California this past week. High winds, combined with ground-saturating rain, could result in falling trees taking down power lines and poles and interrupting electric service.

Approximately 2,000 PG&E emergency personnel are working today to restore power as quickly and safely as possible and to provide timely and accurate outage information to our customers.

As of 1 p.m., the Paradise Ridge area is showing as one of the areas hit hard due to downed trees into power lines. About 2,100 customers in Magalia were without power around 1 p.m. Numerous outages have also knocked out power to about 1,200 in the Paradise area.
