It was the second fatal fire in just over a week in Shasta County. 52-year-old "Stephanie Lopez" died last night in a house fire in her Redding home on Almaden Drive in West Redding.
Redding fire officials say the fire broke out in a rear bedroom.
The fire was reported about just after ten last night. Firefighters found moderate smoke coming from the home when they arrived.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Last week a Palo Cedro couple was killed in a house fire.
