Oregan Man Guilty on All Counts in I-5 Shoot Out

A Shasta County jury Tuesday found an Oregon man guilty on all counts in connection with a 2011 shootout on Interstate 5.

Albert Anthony Smith, 44, faced 25 criminal counts, including 10 for attempted murder, in connection with the Oct. 27 shootout with law enforcement officers on Interstate 5 south of Dunsmuir. Jurors also found him guilty of premeditation on the 10 attempted murder counts.

He faces the possibly of life in prison.
