North Valley Animal Disaster Group volunteers are training to spring into action to rescue animals when disasters strike. These are a few pictures of volunteers getting ready for the fire season. The non-profit organization has 250 active volunteers. They train how to do everything from evacuate large animals to small and large groups of animals to a single animal in need. Volunteers fear this fire season will be bad one due to the lack of rain and snow we had this past winter season. This September they are hosting their biggest dinner and auction fundraiser held at the Elks Lodge in Chico. Also you can always donate to the group on their website by going to our website and clicking on news links.
