Jack is probably a springer spaniel, hound mix, according to the Butte Humane Society. He has a very serious leg injury that will require extensive surgery. The Butte Humane Society keeps a special account called the "Second Chance Fund." They are able to use donations to pay for more serious surgery for homeless animals. Once they're on the mend, they're adopted. Currently, the shelter has two animals that have received help from the Second Chance Fund. Jack, who is four months old, and Pirate, a cat who had to have an eye removed. If you would like to donate money to the Second Chance Fund, d
nations may be made securely online at http://ow.ly/ggKBK, cash or checks may be submitted at the adoption centers at 2579 Fair St. and 587 Country Drive in Chico, and checks may be mailed to Butte Humane Society (Att: Second Chance Medical Fund), 2580 Fair St, Chico CA 95928. If you would like to adopt Jack or Pirate, email the shelter at adoptions@buttehumane.org or call
