A high speed chase Tuesday night took Redding Police on a pursuit that lasted all the way from Redding to Anderson. Police tried to pull over a Lexus on Hilltop Drive just before 11p.m., but the driver failed to stop and sped off. The chase continued onto Interstate 5, reaching speeds of more than 100 miles per hour at times. A tire on the Lexus blew out during the pursuit, but the car continued to evade officers. It all finally came to an end on West Center Street near Ferry Road. A passenger in the car was reportedly forced to stay in the vehicle against her will. The driver, identified as Jose Rabago, was found to be in violation of his parole and was arrested at the scene.
