A Yankee Hill man was sentenced to prison Wednesday for murdering his housemate.
66 year old John Halsema will serve 43-years-to-life behind bars for shooting and killing Craig Davies last February in the home the two shared.
Prosecutors say they were fighting over a dog.
Halsema lived with the body for ten days before calling to report the crime.
He was convicted last month of second degree murder.
He is also serving time for operating a methamphetamine lab that was found in the home.###
