Chico Police arrested a gang member Thursday evening after officer say he stabbed a 15-year-old rival gang member outside the Chico Mall.
It happened around 5:45 p.m. near the front entrance of the mall.
Police say after the stabbing the 15-year-old victim ran inside the mall and was found at the entrance to Forever 21.
He was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Police have not released the name of the suspect who was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
Several other gang members were detained for questioning.
