The man who brutally murdered a Sutter County couple was ordered to serve two life terms in prison Friday.
23-year-old Joseph Simlick stabbed Jack and Susan Martin to death in July of 2010, then set their home on fire.
Simlick pleaded guilty in December as part of a plea deal to avoid the death penalty.
Proseuctors say Simlick was violent with the couple's daughter when she broke up with him, and killed the couple after Jack Martin called him ... demanding Simlick leave his daughter alone. ###
