A Chico State alumnus brought a lot of attention to the school.

Kyle Leahy and his grandfather, Maurice Meyers, walked away with nearly 68-thousand dollars in prizes after winning the "Double Showcase Showdown."

Both men live in Southern California but were wearing Chico State clothing when they taped the show in September because of Kyle's ties to the school.

He graduated in May and says he loved his experience there.
The duo got a lot of air time, as they walked away with an Alaskan cruise, a trip to Las Vegas, furniture, and much more.

To win the double showcase the contestants' guess must be within 250 dollars of the actual retail value of the prizes.

Kyle and his grandfather were the first people to earn the double showcase this season.

Kyle says it all a bit overwhelming and while he's glad for the prizes, they'll still have to pay income and sales taxes and vehicle licensing fees.
