Chico Police say they have begun to crackdown on the Vagabond Inn in downtown Chico, which has become a crime haven during the past two years.

Police say the Vagabond Inn at 630 Main St. has seen a 300 percent increase in calls for service during the past two years and had four time the calls for service than similar motels in the area.

Since June 20th, police say they have made 17 felony arrests at the motel. On Tuesday, police say they arrested Jarvis Jay Bond on a slew drug and weapons charges. He'd been staying at the hotel for some time, police say.

Action News will have more on this story Friday.
