This is the 6th year that the Salvation Army has partnered with the Noontime Rotary in Chico to provide $100 gift cards to local needy children.  The kids were selected from Rosedale and Chapman Elementary Schools based on need.  They were given gift cards and paired with chaperones, and handed a list of clothes they could buy.  Connie Hall with the Salvation Army says, "With the way the economy is, we've seen an increase in need.  The fact that we're able to do these winter coats, it's going to be a blessing for alot of families."  Several high school volunteers were also on hand to act as chaperones.
