A North State man is fighting for his life after he was badly burned in a propane accident in Chico.

Cal-OSHA is now investigating the incident. It all happened around 11:00 this morning at the Shasta Vista Almond Huller on Anita Road.

Cal Fire officials say there was flash fire between a propane delivery truck and a propane storage tank on the property.

The owner of Shasta Vista Almond Huller, Bruce McClintock, says the victim is a delivery driver for a propane company.

He also says he doesn't own the tank and isn't actually affiliated with the propane company, they just keep the tank on his land.

McClintock was there at the time of the accident and called 911 while a truck driver tried to put out the flames on the victim's body.

The man was airlifted to U.C. Davis Medical Center's burn unit.

Cal-OSHA is not currently releasing any details about the incident.
