In Butte County eighth grade girls are getting early career lessons in fields usually dominated by men. The American Association of University Women held the event at the Butte College campus the morning of February second. The girls were given insight into science, technology, engineering and math. Organizers say the goal is to encourage them to continue their education as far as they can take it. A team of successful career women were there to offer tips about their particular fields.
