A north state class is learning how small gestures can make a big difference in their community. 25 first grade students from the Childrens Community Charter School in Paradise donated 200 cans of wet cat and dog food to the Butte Humane Society. They've been learning in class how to improve their school by displaying good citizenship. They've picked up trash around their campus and now they are donating items to homeless animals. Staff members say this donation will help feed many animals. The Butte Humane Society says despite this donation it still needs food. You can drop off donations at the warehouse on Fair Street across from the animal shelter in Chico.
