Rob Blair started his broadcasting career when he was 14 interning at a Top 40 radio station in Indianapolis.  His senior year of High School he was offered the night time personality at that same station in Indy. From there Rob went westward to attend Chapman University. While attending the university, Rob fulfilled a dream of working on-air at a Los Angeles radio station. His junior year, Rob jumped from radio to television, working as weekend weather anchor at the NBC affiliate in Palm Springs. Rob has also worked in television news and weather in Monterey, Orange County and Las Vegas. He is excited and grateful to be back home in Northern California and having fun on Wake Up!

Rob focuses much of his time doing community service. He has volunteered for a group which cares for Alzheimer’s patients and he has also raised thousands of dollars for Big Brothers Big Sisters in Chico. In the past two years, Rob spent some time living in Costa Rica. There, he volunteered his time at an HIV/Aids center as well as working with the homeless.

“Although we have fun on Wake Up every morning, I never forget what a privilege, blessing and responsibility it is to provide Northern California with the most accurate weather forecast, news and information. I have the best job in the world, and it’s an honor,” says Blair.

Rob, You are just wonderful for our family to watch! Always good humor and excellent weather reports. It would be difficult for someone like me to give the weather that often. We love ya and Megan is great, too. Thanks.Gayle

In response to janinerene and Brit's homeless comment, I concur. My mouth dropped open and I was going to comment on it at the time, I had just turned on my TV just in time to hear it. Would not have wanted to been in Rob's seat, what do you say to such an insensitive comment. By the way, I'm pretty sure they watch the news in homeless shelters.

Nice job keeping your composure this morning with the incredibly distasteful comment made by Brit about the homeless.

Rob rocks! Enjoy your humor. My daughter met you in elementary school and could not stop talking about you, this was a few years back! You seem like a very nice person.

Rob is my favorite weather dude...I am in Los Angeles and a professional performer, but my hometown is Redding...so I spend EVERY moment when in Redding watching my favorite weather dude! I know it sounds strange, but I just love the humor, clever comments, and of course Robbie, you are a sweetheart! For this comment, I choose not to protect my identity as I am well known in the International music industry, and my identity is all over the place! Visit my web page and you will see why I am so close to Northern California! www.AnnieBertucci.com You Rule Rob!
